Summary
Transportation
- Additional high-density
plastic material has been installed on the north inner dolphin on the
mainland side. It will protect the
dolphin better than was previously the case, especially during high south
wind conditions.
- Some new expanded metal
has been ordered for the ferry ramps.
It will replace portions that have become damaged in years of use.
- Ferry crew has been
provided with a new, easier to use reporting form for use in event of
minor damage collisions involving vehicles on the ferry deck or ramps.
- For Board
discussion: reports on two minor
damage incidents that occurred in August while loading/unloading the
ferry.
Water
- Wiring and controls
upgrades are complete and an “as-built” wiring diagram furnished by the
contractor for use as needed in the future.
Parks
·
Small
boat dock (floats) will be taken out of the water during the last weekend in
October.
Administration
- A reminder: ferry use may be charged for only
by service and delivery persons.

Land Use
- HMC purchase of the
County-owned, former Lewis property:
County advises that we should have the final ownership documents
within a couple of weeks.
- For Board discussion: the boat, boat trailer and travel
trailer on the above property.
